The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office Patrol Services is made up of

The Patrol Division, a team of dedicated professionals, has an authorized strength of 40 Deputy Sheriffs; 8 Sergeants and 32 Deputy Sheriffs currently provide law enforcement and other community services from the Law Enforcement Center at 320 W 4th Street, Sioux Falls, SD.
The Sheriff's Office provides comprehensive 24/7 law enforcement service to Minnehaha County. Deputies in the Patrol Division respond to over 23,000 yearly calls for service, which include crimes against property, assaults, domestic violence incidents, and other crimes against people. Deputies maintain a visible law enforcement presence, serve arrest warrants, and serve civil papers. They also respond to accidents and medical emergencies, and many deputies are certified as EMTs, ensuring a wide range of services to the community.
